Ohhh the Drama: Bobbi Brown’s New NUDE DRAMA II
It goes without saying, “Save the drama for your mama” however, this time DON’T!
Bobbi Brown’s New Nude Drama II is hands down one of the best nude eyeshadow palettes I have had the privilege of adding to my collection. I once raved about the Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette being the go to for all your nude eye wishes, but there’s a new contender in town and she is smoking the competition (literally- the smokey eye this palette creates is so snatched.) So, scoot over Honey and welcome New Nude Drama II- the ultimate nude eye palette.
Now, I am going to be honest with you. I do not normally keep tabs on Bobbi Brown releases because while her eyeshadows may be pretty, they have a lot of repeat colors from other palettes. For those of you not familiar with Bobbi, her makeup style is quick nudes that accentuate your natural beauty, which means her eyeshadow palettes rarely stray from natural/nude colors. I am just not willing to make the jump on another nude shadow until I know it is different. HOWEVER. The other day while I was making my weekly Sephora visit, I could not help but be drawn in by the little pink package on the Bobbi Brown display case. While I may be a sucker for light pink color packaging it was really the 6 sparkle shades that drew me in. Then to add fuel to the already started fire, the color story is simply stunning. I quickly found myself picking up the palette and putting the magic money card to work. I now had purchased, yet another nude palette. Fabulous.
When I got home later that evening, I was quick to put the palette to work. I wanted to swatch the colors being that you can’t touch the samples at Sephora (Thank you Miss Rona.) Hoping I had not wasted $59.00, I swatched the colors on my arm…….
I am pleased to tell you I was not disappointed, rather I was enthralled by how beautiful the colors are. While the 6 glitter shades did not come out as glittery as I had hoped, they complimented the matte shades and brought forth a certain glowiness that looked naturally radiant. The mattes themselves were very pigmented and included transition shades for the crease colors. On top of this, I also noticed the color options allowed for both a day and a night nude look! You know what this means?
It means…..this is the PERFECT purchase for anyone looking for a “DO-IT-ALL” palette. Over the past couple months, I have had many people come to me asking, what is my favorite palette and what palette should they purchase if they were to only have one luxury brand eyeshadow palette? Well if you couldn’t tell from my ravings during this entire post the answer is the New Nude Drama II.
In all seriousness though, I know a lot of people struggle with wanting to put more effort into their beauty/makeup routines and I believe this palette is a great starting point for that! While the price may not be as pretty as the palette, it is the perfect starting line for those ready to make the run into the luxury side of beauty. This is precisely why I am ranking her among the hall of fame nude palettes and highly recommend in adding to your collection. I would go as far to say, that if I could only use one eyeshadow palette the rest of my life, I would choose the New Nude Drama II.
If you do end up purchasing, be sure to let me know your thoughts and tag me in any looks you post with the palette! I live for the drama!
Stay Dramatically Beautiful.
